Overview

Caio Agosto Twombly and Giorgio Quarzo Guarascio present Il Tempo Se Magna Tutto at Amanita, Florence. The installation opens May 13th, 2022 and will include paintings by Marcelo Barchi and a video by Maia Twombly.

“Tempus Edax Rerum”, time that devours all things. (Ovid, Metamorphosis).
Accepting the temporality of existence is complex and unpleasant for “the man with the watch.”
All heroes know that those who do not accept their own fate, have no right to embark on their journey.
What will remain of us when the final whistle sounds?
Who will save us? A God? Beauty? A swindled handball goal?
Perhaps boredom is the only antidote to the fleetingness of time, not solitary boredom, but shared boredom: the rite of friendship.
A man in love walks through the world like an anarchist holding a briefcase bomb without a timer.
All tragedies have an end, but great tragedies have several endings.

Caio Twombly is an artist and curator and has worked broadly across the United States and Europe, curating shows both independently and in collaboration with institutions and galleries. In 2021 he cofounded Spazio Amanita.

Giorgio Quarzo Guarascio (Rome, 1996), aka Tutti Fenomeni, releases his first single in 2017 and begins to establish himself in the Roman panorama as a singer-songwriter. In 2020 his first studio album was released, "Merce Funebre" with Sony Music/42records. In 2022 his second album "Privilegio Raro" was released also with Sony Music/42records. Both albums were produced by Niccolò Contessa.
